Welcome to the USNA Alumni Association;
San Diego Chapter.

This is the source for new and important information for fellow alumni. Information on upcoming Chapter events is available here. The Homepage does not replace the Newsletter, but will supplement it by allowing faster response to your questions and suggestions. Provided here, is a means to register for Chapter functions, and a forum for exchange of messages between alumni.

We want your input on this site. If you think something is missing or have another suggestion let us know by contacting Jeff Clough.

We have started using Constant Contact to send emails about events. If you have not received one of these, please use this button to add yourself to our list.

S.D. Alumni Association News

A NOTE FROM BARBETTE: I am walking 60 miles in 3 days in the Susan G. Komen 3 Day for the Cure in San Diego Nov 19-21. Susan G. Komen 3 Day for the Cure is the world's largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. Breast cancer is diagnosed in more than 250,000 women each year and in nearly 2,000 men.

By walking 60 miles, I am committed to helping raise money to fund breast cancer research and to support community programs.

USNA Challenge: If at least 80 USNA alumni donate an average of $80 each, I will walk an extra day for a total of 80 miles. Donations can be made on my website at: www.the3day.org/goto/barbette

July Luncheon ReCap

RADM Michael Bachmann ‘74, Commander SPAWAR, gave a great presentation about the SPAWAR command, its global and interagency spread and its extensive range of activities.  For your webmaster, who remembers when RADM George Wagner ‘62 brought the command to San Diego against a host of opposition, it was eye-opening.  RADM Bachmann’s bio and the presentation can be found on the SPAWAR website http://www.spawar.navy.mil

Here are a few pictures:
