Class Representative Responsibilities

Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the USNAAA San Diego Chapter Class Representatives include but are not limited to:

• Assist the Chapter President in informing their local classmates of significant USNA Alumni and Foundation events and information
• Assist the Chapter President in promoting the ideals of the U.S. Naval Academy
• Support the Navy Region Southwest Blue and Gold Officer in identifying viable candidates for admission to the U.S. Naval Academy
• Promote Class activities for local classmates living in the San Diego area
• Promote membership to the local USNAAA San Diego Chapter
• Assist the USNAAA San Diego Chapter Secretary in maintaining accurate information on classmates in the San Diego area.

Requirements:

• Class Rep is a voluntary position
• Class Rep must be a member in good standing of both the USNA Alumni National Association and the USNA Alumni Association San Diego Chapter
• Class Reps will actively assist the USNAAA San Diego Chapter President. If changes occur where they cannot fulfill their responsibility, they shall notify the Chapter President and nominate a classmate who is a member in good standing to relieve them of their duties
• Class Reps shall maintain the capability to communicate with their classmates in the San Diego area via email and are encouraged to communicate with all members of their class in the San Diego area via any other means they desire
• Class Rep must have the ability to forward emails to their Classmates regarding USNA and USNAAA San Diego Chapter events and information.
• Provide the Chapter President and Secretary an updated class list by Dec.31 each year
• Maintain an accurate class notebook for turnover which should include:
  • Updated contact information for Classmates in the San Diego area
  • Calendar of planned or recurring events that classes decide to participate or sponsor for the USNAAA San Diego Chapter
  • Accurate number of classmates who are members of local USNAAA chapter
