August 25, 2011 - The Littoral Combat Ship is not your father's Destroyer. Come see how we train the crew for this ship.

Event: Tour of LCS Shore Based Trainer.

Have you ever wondered what it's like to ride on a Littoral Combat Ship (LCS)?
Have you ever experienced a simulation trainer?

This is the field trip for you. You will receive a tour of the LCS Shore Based Trainer which is used for our officers and sailors. You will have an opportunity to get hands-on experience. No seasickness pills required.

Date: Thursday Aug 25

Time: 10:00 am

Location: Fleet Training Support Center (TSC), Building #3292, Naval Station San Diego, CA.

Directions: The Shore Based Trainer is on the dry-side of the Naval Base kitty-corner from the Bowling Alley on/off Norman Scott Road There is a large flag pole and 6 story building. Turn off to the right in the south west corner of the parking lot to find building #3292

Notes: Access to the base is restricted and parking is limited. Attendees should meet at the Anchors Club parking lot by 9:30 am to carpool.  Base decals will be required for all vehicles entering Naval Station. Everyone should bring photo ID.
